The National Kenyan girls volleyball team has once again won
the Woman’s African Nations Championship, beating Algeria, the defending
champions. That makes this their 7th cup win. They have won themselves a spot in the FIVB
Volleyball Woman’s World Cup.
The World Cup will be held this year in Japan, November 4th
to 18th.
The first set Kenya came in strong, and Algeria needed to
step up their game in order to keep up. The first set was won with 25-11 score
line.
The second time around Algeria was ready and came back
fighting, and won the set 25-17.
The third set was evenly played, tying on 5-5, 10-10, 13-13
and 15-15, but then Kenya came back to win the set 25-21
The fourth set was dominated by Kenya. They were determined to grab that 7th
cup win and ended up winning the set 24-11.
