Did you know that phone cards still do exist? They are deceivingly expensive! Well, maybe not expensive in the scheme of things, but when we are talking about 2 cents per minute, an extra surcharge of $3.48 is pretty pricey. (I did the math for “La Fiesta” phone card.) The question is: since these cards are being advertised as “$10=500 minutes!” does that mean you pay the extra fee when you buy it, or is it secretly taken out of the $10 and you are only left with $6.52, or 326 minutes? TRICKY! Plus, the “billing increment” of 3 minutes means that if you call for a minute or two, you still get billed for AT LEAST 3 minutes! Crazy!
Check out some other examples below. They can all be found on CallingCards.com. I’d be pretty angry if I bought a phonecard and was under the impression that ten dollars really meant five-hundred minutes. Here at StanaCard, what you pay for is what you get. There are no hidden taxes, fees, surcharges, or anything! AND the credit never, ever expires!
