In the past few months, many of you have probably noticed that Facebook has been going through a lot of changes. The first major change came when Facebook rolled out the new profiles, making them optional throughout December, then switching everyone’s profile to the new design in early January. Though the early reviews were mixed – just like they are anytime Facebook changes anything – people seem to have adapted by now and many are making extremely creative uses of the new page.
Next came the new photo viewer which was applied in the past couple weeks for most Facebook users. Again, the reviews are extremely mixed, with many people furious about the change and many people loving the new design. In even more additions, Facebook has made it possible to limit the posts you see on your news feed to just friends and Pages you interact with the most. They have also rolled out a new messaging system that allows you to create an @Facebook email address and seamlessly message friends through SMS, chat, email, or messages.
What many personal Facebook users do not realize though, is that many innovations have also been made to business Pages. The Pages will be changed to look more like the new personal profiles, and will have numerous added features. One of the most important new features for businesses is that administrators can now contact personal profiles through the business Page.
For example, before this upgrade, if we saw anyone talking about StanaCard on their walls, we would have to log in to our personal accounts to respond to their wall posts. Now, we can log in to our StanaCard Page and interact with you on your own wall, or even “like” your posts. Business Pages can now also get email notifications, and can choose whether or not they want to see just Page posts or both Page and personal profile posts on their news feed.
The StanaCard team is happy about this, as these new developments all make us more accessible to our customers and fans. You can always go to StanaCard’s Page and tell us what you think, make suggestions, or find out what’s going on with the company. Now we can respond to you personally, through our business page, which makes our customer relations that much easier for you and for us.
