Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year! Welcome to the Year of the Rabbit. The celebrations have ended for the first day in most parts of China, but don’t worry, there are still 14 more days of celebration to go.

As we move into the Year of the Rabbit, we should expect a time of peace, rest, and transformation as we prepare for the Year of the Dragon in 2012. According to professional astrologer Susan Levitt of San Francisco, “Remember, Dragon Year 2012 will be very powerful, shamanic, a wild, exhausting time. So appreciate the small pleasures of this Hare Year 2011 as superb and somewhat rare opportunities to heal, relax, entertain, mend fences.”

While the celebrations go strong in China, there are many ways to feel at home while in America for the holiday. Let’s hope the Year of the Rabbit remains true to its meaning, as most of us could certainly use a year of relaxation and peace.
