Famed international film event, Festival de Cannes, has released the list of high-profile jury members from all over the world. It had been announced earlier that legendary American actor, director, and producer Robert De Niro would preside over the eight-member team, which will include international stars from many different areas of the film world. The jury includes American actress/screenwriter Uma Thurman, British actor Jude Law, Argentinean actress/producer Martina Gusman, Chinese producer Nansun Shi, Norwegian critic Linn Ullmann, French director Olivier Assayas, Chadian director Mahamat Saleh Haroun, and director/producer Johnny To of Hong Kong.
This years’ festival will take place from May 11 to May 22. Along with the jury panel for the main competition, French director Michel Gondry will head the jury for the short film competition and South Korean film director Bong Joon-ho will head the Camera d’Or jury, which selects the best film by a first-time filmmaker.
