I Can't Get Into My Account! Help!

Today’s blog post is going to be about blocked, old, new or outdated accounts. Customers ask support all the time about why they can’t get into their accounts. I am here to explain a few reasons and solutions to that problem.

First let’s talk about why accounts get blocked. There are a few reasons why this happens.

1. You used a credit card that did not belong to you, or you thought that it was ok to use a credit card because your friend said it was.

Folks this is not ok. StanaCard does not permit customers to use a credit card that does not belong to them, even if it was by permission. A lot of things can happen because of this. Think about it. If you give your friend a credit card to use on their account and the next time they want to put money on their account, they can and they will be using your credit card whether you allowed it that time or not. We get people saying their credit card was used without their permission, but there is nothing we can do about that. We cannot take the information out of the system. So it works best for everyone if they used their own credit card to purchase credit.

2. You used your credit card but your account was still blocked.

This happens when people have more than one account (which we do not permit, but that’s another blog post). So they try to use the credit card and the account was blocked. You cannot use a credit card on more than one account. We do this for your protection. Even if it’s your wife’s account, it will still become blocked. So to save yourself some time and aggravation, Have one account per person and make sure each person has their own credit card.

3. You helped someone open an account and now they can’t get in

Sometimes our security department blocks an account because there is another account with the same information. This happens because people open accounts for someone else and they use their own information instead of the person who will be using the account. It’s ok to help someone open an account but please make sure you put the name and address of the person who will be actually making the calls from that account. This also goes with the credit card issue. You cannot use your credit card to open another person’s account. If they do not have a credit card then they cannot have an account with us.

4. You just opened an account and now your password won’t work

Sometimes our security department blocks certain for different reasons, nothing to be alarmed about. They just want to make sure that the person opening the account is real. So they block it until that person emails support to let us know, “Hey I’m here and I’m real”. So we go in, confirm the account and you are on your way to making calls.

Outdated Accounts
So it's been awhile since you used your account. Don't worrk. Just contact us we can help you locate your login information. Again do not open a new account. You won't be able to use the same numbers or credit card and chances are that's exactly what you are going to want to do.


Don’t worry guys, if your account is blocked, there is no need to try to open another account. Just contact Support and we will see what we can do. Having more than one account can cause numerous problems and there is just no need. You can have up to 20 different registered numbers (only register numbers that are yours of course) and an endless supply of smartdials. Happy Calling
