After arriving at our stop we realize that neither of us has eaten. So we head to indulge in my fav, some Sushi From 92nd street. We sit down to eat catch up on any drama that has happened that we have not had private time to discuss. We are both in better spirits after our Sushi dinner and decide to head to the liquor store before meeting with Max. This is necessary for us this week as we are both a bit low on party funds so we want to make sure to get a nice buzz going before we even meet up with my brother. My phone starts buzzing and it’s my brother so I answer “What’s up Bro” I ask him. “Where are you” he asked in an urgent kind of way. I tell him I just finished dinner with Marx and I’m headed to the liquor store. “Hurry up, I have some people that keep asking to see you” he replies in a voice that sounds like he has a nice buzz going already.
After picking up a small bottle of my 151 and some chasers Marx and I head to 84th street to sit on a stoop and drink our drinks before we go inside to meet with Max. After about 30 minutes or so of chatting and sipping on our drinks my phone begins to buzz again. I see it’s my brother who is probably calling to rush me again so I press Ignore and I send him to voicemail. After about 10 minutes and 3 missed calls later my phone starts buzzing again. I finally answer my brother as Marx and I are almost done with our drinks. “What the hell, where are you now” asks Max sounding a little upset at me. “We are around the corner about to be out in front of the bar in a second” I replied as we got up and walked around the corner to where he could see us. Just as I was insight the call hung up.
A girl by the name of Natasha walked out the bar and right up to me. “Do you remember me” she asked sounding a little nervous. “Of course I do you, have been in my house plenty of times” I said as I stretched out my arms to hug her with a huge smile on my face. After about two minutes of talking Max walks out to lead us inside where he had been entertaining Natasha and her friend. “SV this is Sophia, Sophia this is Max’s sister SV” said Natasha. Sophia then told me she had heard a lot about me and my crazy ways. I replied “Oh Good but I’m sure I’m worse than they say. No worries you will see me in action in a few” I whispered in Sophia’s ear with a big smile on my face. “See I told you” said Natasha to Sophia laughing. I excused myself and made my way through the rest of the bar to say hello to everyone I knew. After making my rounds I returned to the corner of the bar where my group was chatting the night away. The group was tag teaming a Beer Tower that Max purchased for everyone to enjoy. After a few shot of the top shelf Tequila and my part of the Beer Tower I made my way across the way where Yogi a local tough guy was trying to get my attention. I found it a bit weird as we grew up in the same neighborhood, our brothers have been friends for year, but in the past 28 years of my life we have never shared any words. Nonetheless, I walked over to Yogi and his group and greeted everyone with a big smile.
“Everyone this is SV the Upper West Side Party Queen” said Yogi to his group. Some laughed, while others made comments about how they had heard stories about me. I sat down on the coffee table right in the middle of everyone and right as I sat, the table slipped from under me and I landed straight on my back. I just bust out into laughter as everyone rushed to try to help me up. “Well I think I just arrived at ‘Saucy Ville’ I said while being helped up to my feet. “Time to change the scenery then” replied Yogi. “My friends and I are heading to a lounge do you guys want to come join us” said Yogi loud enough for my group to hear him over the music. “Let’s Do it” replied Max. They two paid the tab and we all hopped in trucks and cab further downtown to the lounge.
Both groups partied it up as if we had all been friends for forever. I love it when things work out that way because I’m a chill girl who loves everyone so this was definitely my kind of night. By the time closing time rolled around I had danced with everyone there even those who thought partying is a spectator sport. I even made friends with all the bouncers, so as everyone was being led out like a herd of sheep I was at the back of the group hugging a bouncer and leading all the party goes out as well. Once outside a group of girls came up to me and told me how much fun I was and that I need to come back to party at that lounge. They all kissed me good bye on the lips as all the boys went crazy. They asked if I wanted to continue to party with them. “I’m sorry ladies I have to get my girls home and go to work in the AM.” I said while Natasha and Sophia stood right beside me on either side like I had that planned all along. I put my arms around them and said “See what I mean, Love you all but I gotta go”.
