Rates Drop Significantly to All Phones in Oman

A big announcement in the world of telecommunications was made in Oman this weekend, as Sama Telecom was awarded the third telecom license in the country. Government owned Oman Telecommunications Co. was the sole provider until 2006, when a unit of Qatar Telecommunications, Nawras, opened up shop in Oman. Sama was given a 15 year license in the country. This is great news for people around the world who are calling Oman, along with citizens of Oman themselves. In the world of telecom – just like the world of any other business – more competition equals lower prices.

To show our customers how dedicated we are to providing the lowest prices possible, we have decided to decrease our rates to Oman! Now it is only 12.99 cents to call landlines, and 24.99 cents to call mobile phones! These new rates have decreased as much as 27%, and they are now over 25% cheaper than Skype and other companies!

A $5 credit will now let you call Oman mobile phones for up to 20 minutes! That is about 29% cheaper than Skype, and unlike Skype and most calling cards, we charge absolutely no connection fees. You pay only for what you use.

What’s even better than cheap minutes? Free minutes! Simply refer us to friends, their first purchase is doubled and you get an up to $10 worth of bonus credit as soon as they make their first call with us. For more information, check out our blog.
